Details

We were thrilled when the iconic toy brand Scalextric had chosen our legendary, Goodwood winning Austin Mini Cooper S, Willow 2 to be the latest addition to their Classics range of cars.

We built the car in 2017 after the sad passing of Glyn, Nicks father and founder of Swiftune, so it was only fitting that we used his old UP U 2 number plate to carry on his legacy and his famous tongue in cheek wit! We like to think this helped Willow 2 to go on to be the single most successful historic Mini race car of 2018 and 2019.

Glyn spent his last few days being supported and cared for by the wonderful nurses in the Pilgrims Hospice Ashford centre. We are honoured to be able to make any contribution towards their fantastic facilities.

"Pilgrims provide specialist care to patients and families across east Kent. Our vision is of a community where people with a life-limiting illness are supported and empowered, together with their family and friends, to live well in mind and body, and make the most of the time they have. We have proudly provided skilled and compassionate care, completely free of charge, to the community of east Kent for over thirty five years.

Approximately 30% of people who die in east Kent are cared for by us. We are now caring for more than 2,400 people each year - a figure that is set to climb in the years ahead as people live longer and with more complex conditions. This care is given in our three inpatient units in Canterbury, Thanet and Ashford, in our therapy centres or in patients’ own homes. We also provide a 24/7 telephone support service to patients and their carer and offer bereavement support."
