Travelling even further afield, Iain Mackenzie was representing Swiftune in the Asia Classic Car Challenge, Asia’s only classic race series. It is open to race cars pre 1989 and is a multi-category event with each round held at the Sepang F1 Circuit in Malaysia.

Rounds 3&4 took place over the weekend where, fresh from an engine out and full suspension rebuild, Iain Mackenzie seized the opportunity to give his Swiftune powered Mini a decent shakedown. With a wet qualifying and a dry race he got to really test the car, securing a class win in the process.

"Next round there is the promise of more quick Mini’s so hopefully the race will be more challenging."
